The proposed Ladies Park is situated at the corner of street 32 connecting with Road E in sector I-14/1 Islamabad. This Ladies Park is planned over a 5.6 Kanal land. This park will provide the women residents with a convenient space for healthy sporting and social activities. Sector I-14/1 already has 3 parks including a family park and a public park on street 20, and a public park on street 44 connecting with Road E near Mian Chowk on the main double road of Sector I-14.
The Ladies Park is currently an empty piece of land used openly by the public for walks or for the kids to play. Random passersby can also be spotted making the place unfriendly for ladies and families. The proposed park will have fences and an entrance gate and only women with kids will be permitted to enter the park. The Ladies Park in sector I-14/1 will have a walking and jogging track, and a Ladies Club facility. The Ladies Park will be curated with flower beds, a green lawn, and trees to make it a restful and healthy place. More such Ladies Parks are desirable across all newly developed CDA sectors like sector I-15, sector I-16, sector C-13, sector C-14, sector C-15, sector C-16, and sector E-12 in Islamabad.
CDA sector I-14 has generally seen slow development of public amenities over the years. The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has called for bids to improve amenities with the development of a Ladies Park and a Ladies Club in sector I-14/1, Islamabad. The citizens of Islamabad expect more such initiatives by CDA to develop public amenities that support healthy physical and sporting activities and provide socializing opportunities to the residents of CDA sectors.
